Rand Morimoto

Rand Morimoto is the CEO and President of Convergent Computing, and was previously a member of the board at Chabot Space & Science Center and the Institute of International Education. Rand has also been a graduation commencement speaker at Saint Mary's College of California, and a volunteer guide dog for the blind puppy raiser at Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Born in 1965, Rand Morimoto grew up in the Bay Area of California. Rand attended Saint Mary's College of California, where they graduated with a degree in business administration in 1987. After college, they began their career as a volunteer guide dog for the blind puppy raiser at Guide Dogs for the Blind. Rand then worked at various companies in various roles including Imagine Cup Competition and Chabot Space & Science Center before becoming the CEO and President of Convergent Computing.

Under Rand Morimoto's leadership, Convergent Computing has become a leading provider of converged infrastructure solutions. The company's products are used by some of the world's largest organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and educational institutions.

Morimoto has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, a MBA in Business Management from Saint Mary's College of California, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Capella University. Rand also has certification from the Federal Communications Commission in Amateur (HAM) Radio License - Technician, (ISC)² in Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), FEMA in Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS-100), GreyCampus in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Trained and Certified, PADI in Open Water Diver, Federal Aviation Administration in Private Aircraft Pilot, and GreyCampus in Six Sigma Black Belt Training and Certification.
