Allisa Brown

Allisa Brown, SHRM-SCP, serves as the Deputy Chief of People (Volunteer) at Conversa Corps, focusing on HR policy development and recruitment efforts since August 2025. As Co-director and Vice President of Brown Paws Rescue since August 2016, Allisa helps facilitate the rescue and adoption of approximately 50 dogs per month. Previously, Allisa held the position of Human Resources Manager at Madison Metro Transit System from April 2023 to August 2025, overseeing various HR programs and services for a staff of 500. Prior experience includes roles as Human Resources Specialist Advanced at the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Senior Human Resources Generalist at the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs, along with several positions in human resources and management at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and Pleasant View Golf Course. Allisa holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and two Master's degrees in Human Resources Management from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
