Camiel Kraan began their career in 1998 as an Account Manager at Niku Corporation. In 2002, they took on the role of Sales Manager at Planview. After two years in this role, they moved to Infor as Sales Director in 2004. In 2006, they became VP Sales EMEA at Backbase and was responsible for setting up and managing the international sales team. In 2007, they became Sales VP Benelux & Nordics at BMC Software and was the first man on the ground for Bladelogic, Service Automation Software in Europe. In 2009, they took ownership of UnitedGames and developed over 40 games, including the largest online sailing community in the world and the biggest massively multiplayer online game. In 2010, they founded Squla and exited in 2014 to RTL. In 2013, they founded Huckleberry and developed Wordon, which had over 5 million downloads and was played in 100+ countries. In 2012, they joined ActiveVideo Networks as VP of Sales and was able to sign up enterprise customers such as Liberty Global, Ziggo, KPN, Portugal Telecom, Telefonica and Vodafone. In 2017, they founded Convious and is currently serving as Founder/CEO.

Camiel Kraan attended HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 1990 to 1994, studying Journalism.
