Mitchell Rode

System Engineer at Cook MyoSite

Mitchell Rode has had a diverse range of work experience. Mitchell began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Kumta Lab from September 2014 to April 2015. In parallel, they also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh Chemistry Department from August 2014 to December 2015, where they instructed students, ensured safety, and evaluated their work.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Mitchell became a Student Athlete Tutor at the University of Pittsburgh from September 2014 to December 2017, providing academic support to fellow student athletes.

In 2016, Mitchell had the opportunity to work as a Purification Co-Op at ZeroChaos, where they were contracted to GlaxoSmithKline. Mitchell held this role for the whole year, gaining practical experience in purification processes.

In 2017, Mitchell joined Panera Bread as a Cafe Associate, a role they fulfilled until January 2020.

In 2019, they began working at Cook MyoSite, initially as a LIMS Administrator from July 2019 to May 2021. Later, they transitioned to the position of System Engineer, which they currently hold.

Additionally, in 2019, Mitchell worked as a Manufacturing Intern at Apex Systems, where they were contracted to Carmell Therapeutics for a brief period from January 2019 to May 2019.

Mitchell Rode completed their high school education at Woodland Hills High School from 2009 to 2013, earning a high school diploma. Mitchell then pursued further studies at the University of Pittsburgh from 2013 to 2018, where they attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
