Alison Payne

Alison Payne currently serves as a Trustee at The Island Learning Trust since July 2022 and has been with COOK since September 2012, holding the position of People Director and Head of People Operations. In this role, Alison leads a team of HR professionals focused on ambitious sales growth while prioritizing employee purpose and personal development, contributing to the strategic agenda as part of the Senior Leadership Team. Prior experience includes serving as Group Personnel Manager at Tesco PLC from September 1996 to February 2008. Alison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of Leicester, earned between 1993 and 1996, and attended Rainham Mark Grammar School from 1985 to 1992.
