Darren Smith

Darren Smith is the principal of DJ Smith Group Chartered Accountants, which has offices in Melbourne and Clayton. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting profession, including work in Big 4 and medium-sized firms, Darren has been instrumental in assisting private and family-run businesses across Australia with a variety of accounting and taxation services. Since founding DJ Smith Group in 2008, Darren has focused on providing quality service and creative solutions to clients, specializing in areas such as tax planning, superannuation strategies, and business sales and acquisitions. Additionally, Darren serves as the Company Secretary at Cool.org since 2025. Darren holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology, which was completed in 1990.
