Alan Tamarelli

Alan Tamarelli is a Partner in Life Sciences Transactions at Cooley LLP, where they focus on transaction and counseling work for biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. They have extensive experience in managing and resolving significant litigation and regulatory matters in the life sciences sectors. Prior to their current role, Alan held positions at K&L Gates LLP, Latham & Watkins, and Merck & Company, Inc. They served as an attorney at K&L Gates from 1995 to 2006 and were Counsel/Director, Legal at Merck from 2006 to 2017. Alan also earned a BA from Bucknell University and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School. Currently, they serve as a Board Member at NewYorkBIO.
