Beth Sasfai

Beth Sasfai is a Partner at Cooley LLP, serving as Co-Chair of the firm’s corporate governance and securities regulation practice since March 2023. With extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, ESG, and disclosure matters, Beth advises boards of directors and executive teams, focusing on emerging governance trends and shareholder engagement. Prior to joining Cooley, Beth held various senior positions at Verizon, including SVP & Deputy General Counsel, where responsibilities included overseeing governance policy, Board relations, and ESG strategy. Beth's legal career also includes roles at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and Debevoise & Plimpton, along with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Simmons College.
