Brendan Roach

Brendan Roach is a Patent Agent at Cooley LLP since July 2021, following a similar role at Oblon from August 2017 to July 2021, and holds registration #78,703. Prior to these positions, Brendan served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Columbia University from August 2011 to March 2017, contributing to multi-institutional research on 3D tissue engineering technologies for cartilage repair, which culminated in a dissertation focused on strategy for tissue engineered cartilage repair. Additionally, Brendan held a position as CTV Senior Fellow - Marketing at Columbia Technology Ventures from May 2013 to December 2016, aiding in the transfer of academic inventions to the marketplace. Brendan's academic achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor's degree in related fields. Currently, Brendan is pursuing a Doctor of Law degree at Georgetown University Law Center, expected to graduate in May 2027, after obtaining another JD at American University Washington College of Law.
