Elizabeth Prelogar has held significant legal positions, including Acting Solicitor General and Principal Deputy Solicitor General at the U.S. Department of Justice in 2021. Previously, they served as a Partner and Chair of Supreme Court and Appellate Practice at Cooley LLP and as Assistant to the Solicitor General from 2014 to 2019. Elizabeth has also worked as an attorney at Hogan Lovells and clerked for Justices Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the Supreme Court. They are currently the Steven and Maureen Klinsky Visiting Professor of Practice for Leadership and Progress at Harvard Law School. Elizabeth earned a Doctor of Law from Harvard Law School, along with degrees in Creative Writing from the University of St Andrews and in English and Russian Language and Culture from Emory University.
