Felipe Guzman

Felipe Guzman is an experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as a Patent Agent and Patent Technical Advisor at Cooley LLP since January 2020. Previously, Felipe held the position of Senior Scientist at Genetics Research from 2017 to July 2019 and at ZS Genetics, Inc. from May 2014 to June 2017, where expertise included electrochemical analysis and strategies for material functionalization for DNA applications. Earlier experience includes roles as Research Associate at FirstEnergy Advanced Energy Research Center, focused on fuel cell materials, and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Akron, where significant work involved developing novel electrode materials. Felipe Guzman earned a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Akron and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
