Gene Gilmore

Gene Gilmore serves as the Director of Professional Development at Cooley LLP since January 2016, where responsibilities include leading an ongoing global learning culture and developing next-generation leadership programs. Previously, Gene held the position of West Coast Director of Training & Development at Sidley Austin LLP from June 2008 to November 2015, focusing on assessing professional development needs and creating curricula for various practice areas across multiple offices. Gene's earlier experience includes roles as Director of Training and Program Development at the National Appraisal Institute and as an Associate Attorney at Nossaman, Guthner, Knox & Elliott LLP and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Gene holds a JD from Loyola Law School and a BA in English Literature from UCLA, along with an ORSC in Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching from CRR Global.
