James Callahan

James (J.P.) Callahan, JD, MPA, is a Business Litigation Associate at Cooley LLP since January 2024, previously serving as a Law Clerk in the Criminal Appellate Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Callahan has extensive legal experience, having edited the University of Chicago Business Law Review and worked as a summer associate at Cooley LLP. A former Operations Officer in the US Army, Callahan demonstrated leadership in various commands, including leading a recruiting company and an airborne infantry company. Callahan holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and an MPA from Columbus State University, complemented by a BA in Political Science from Bowling Green State University.
