John Scrudato

John Scrudato is a Director of Practice Engineering at Cooley LLP, where they lead hybrid legal and engineering teams focused on innovative solutions for the legal industry. With a passion for enhancing accessibility and transparency in legal services, John is a founding member of the Open Cap Table Coalition and chairs its technical working group, fostering the development of the Open Cap Format standard. Previously, John co-founded Scaled Liquid Systems, where they developed a patent-pending modular design for server cooling systems, and held positions at Gunderson Dettmer and Covington & Burling LLP, managing venture financing and corporate legal matters. John holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) and an MBA from the University of Michigan, along with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and History from Yale University.
