Marcelo Pomeranz

Marcelo Pomeranz is an Associate Attorney and Patent Agent at Cooley LLP since April 2013, specializing in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Experience includes preparation of diligence, freedom to operate analyses, and patent portfolio valuations for companies and venture capital firms. Prior to Cooley LLP, Marcelo served as a Post Doctoral Fellow at The Ohio State University, focusing on plant gene regulatory networks and receiving a grant from the Association of Plant Biologists. Marcelo's academic background includes a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
