Matthew Bartus

Matthew Bartus serves as the Global Co-Chair of the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Practice Groups at Cooley LLP, where responsibilities include founding and curating the microsite Cooley GO. In 2019, Bartus established Cooley's first office in Southeast Asia in Singapore and returned to the U.S. in 2022 while continuing to serve clients in that region. Prior to Cooley, Bartus held partner positions at Dorsey & Whitney LLP and Gunderson Dettmer, and worked as an associate attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Bartus received a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in English from Syracuse University.
