Melissa Roque

Melissa Roque, CPA has a diverse work experience starting in 2005 as an Optical Technician/Receptionist at Fair Oaks Optometric Associates. Melissa then worked as an Accounting Intern at Upper Occoquan Service Authority in 2007 and as a Staff Accountant/Intern at Halt, Buzas & Powell, Ltd. from 2008 to 2009. Melissa later served as an Audit Intern at KPMG in 2009 before returning to the company in 2010, where they held various roles including Audit Associate, Audit Senior Associate, Audit Manager, and finally, Audit Senior Manager in 2017. From 2008 to 2010, Melissa also worked as a Teaching Assistant at George Mason University. Most recently, they joined Cooley LLP in 2021 and currently holds the position of Senior Manager of Investment Funds.

Melissa Roque, CPA, obtained a Master of Science degree in Accounting from George Mason University's Costello College of Business in 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the same institution in 2009. Melissa Roque is also a Certified Public Accountant, certified by the Virginia Board of Accountancy.
