Patrick van Eecke

Patrick Van Eecke is a distinguished Partner at Cooley LLP, leading the firm's global cyber/data/privacy practice, recognized for excellence in privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance. With an extensive academic background, Patrick serves as a Professor at the University of Antwerp and a Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London, specializing in European Information and Communications Law and Information Security Law, respectively. Previously, Patrick held a Partner position at DLA Piper, focusing on IT and telecom law, and contributed as a University Lecturer at King's College London. With a PhD in Law from KU Leuven, Patrick has also been a research fellow at Stanford University and has a strong foundation in electronic commerce and telecommunications law from earlier roles.
