Rachel Preston

Rachel Preston currently serves as an Associate at Cooley LLP since October 2023, having previously held the position of Summer Associate at the same firm in mid-2022. Rachel has an extensive background in the United States Army Reserve, advancing to Captain and previously serving as First Lieutenant since December 2017. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Summer Associate at Neo IP and as a Research and Development Chemist at Tethis, Inc., where significant contributions included improving product performance through mechanochemistry and streamlining analytical techniques. Rachel also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Tethis, Inc., enhancing efficiency in quality analysis, and began a career in research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University. Rachel holds a Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The Ohio State University, complemented by a program in Sustainability and Agricultural Policy at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
