Sela Dougherty

Sela Dougherty is an Associate at Cooley LLP, specializing in venture capital financings, startups, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and corporate governance since January 2024. Previously, Sela held the role of Summer Associate at Cooley LLP in mid-2022 and served as Deputy Program Manager at Scientia Global, Inc. from December 2019 to August 2020, supporting high-priority U.S. initiatives. Sela was also Chief of Staff at a technology startup from May 2018 to December 2019, collaborating closely with the CEO and CFO during the early stages of the business. Prior experience includes a position as Client Account Coordinator at Fisher Investments from June 2016 to April 2018. Sela holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law, an MBA from the University of Florida - Warrington College of Business, a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Art History from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Università Bocconi.
