Stacey Song

Stacey Song is a Partner at Cooley LLP, bringing extensive expertise in securities, compliance, and regulatory matters, particularly focused on investment advisers and private funds since July 2022. Previously, Stacey held the position of Partner at Fried Frank from May 2018 to June 2022, where advisory work included registration issues and the structuring and management of private funds. Between September 2016 and May 2018, Stacey served as Senior Counsel in the Private Funds Branch of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, advising various divisions on private fund matters and contributing to rulemaking under the Advisers Act. Earlier experience includes roles as a Regulatory Associate at Fried Frank and as a Fund Formation Associate at Seward & Kissel LLP. Stacey obtained a JD, Cum Laude, from Brooklyn Law School and a BA in Economics, Cum Laude, from Smith College, along with studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
