Tejal Shah

Tejal Shah is a Partner at Cooley LLP, having joined the firm in September 2025, after a significant tenure at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from January 2014 to September 2025. At the SEC, Tejal served in various roles including Associate Regional Director, Senior Special Counsel to the Enforcement Director, and Enforcement Counsel to the Chair, advising SEC Chair Gensler on enforcement matters and investigating violations of federal securities laws. Prior to this, Tejal was an Associate at Cooley LLP from September 2006 to December 2013. Tejal holds a J.D. from New York University and a B.S. in Policy Analysis & Management from Cornell University.
