Daniel Ustian is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Navistar International Corporation (NYSE: NAV), a manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, and defense vehicles. He served as CEO from February 2003 to August 2012 and Chairman of the Board from February 2004 to August 2012. Before being named CEO, Ustian served as president and chief operating officer since April 2002, overseeing the company’s truck and engine operations and participating in the development of the company’s strategic direction and growth initiatives. Ustian’s focus on operational excellence encouraged several breakthrough technologies that drove the company’s production capability and increased sales. Since 2012 Ustian has been serving as an advisor, investor, chairman, or owner of several firms across various industries.
Ustian received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from DePaul University, where he now serves on the Board of Trustees.
