David Levinson

With a record of sound financial guidance in complex, uncharted and rapid growth settings, David Levinson leads daily strategic, financial and administrative operations for Coolfire. In addition to what he describes as “keeping the lights on and making sure people get paid,” Dave says the most important aspect of his role is “partnering with the rest of the leadership team to build a world-class company where people want to come to work every day.”

Dave came to Coolfire in 2017 after serving as CFO for OneSpace, a venture-backed software business. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at EY leading audits of public and private software and technology companies, and later specializing in financial due diligence and strategic finance projects for private equity and strategic clients. During this time, he assisted with over 100 transactions, with deal values ranging from $5 million to $15 billion. Dave is an experienced negotiator, completing multiple equity financings from premier venture capital investors, establishing term and revolving credit agreements, and completing strategic business acquisitions. Having managed multiple business lines and departments for venture-backed start-ups and growth-stage companies, he was excited to bring his strategic skills and big-picture perspective to the Coolfire team.

A graduate of Washington and Lee University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting.
