John Backlund

John Backlund is an experienced Event and Sponsorship Manager and Senior Project Manager currently serving as the Head of Partnerships and Events at Coop Östra since 2012, where they develop event and sponsorship strategies and manage all aspects of the event process. Previously, John worked as Head of Partnership and Event at Tele2 Sverige AB from 2005 to 2012, overseeing major internal and external events, and also held the role of Retail Store Manager there briefly in 2005. John began their career as a Test Engineer at Moteco AB from 1997 to 2001. They hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Electronics from Kalmar University and completed a course in Marketing PR at Berghs School of Communication in 2014.
