Daisy Ames

Daisy Ames serves as a Visiting Professor II at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where responsibilities include teaching formal Analysis Studio and coordinating the Design III Housing Studio sequence. Additionally, Daisy holds a position as a Critic at Yale University, instructing Architectural Foundations and Advanced Design Studio courses. As the Founding Principal of Studio Ames since August 2017, Daisy also has extensive experience as an Adjunct Professor at various institutions, including Barnard College and Columbia University, where involvement includes leading architectural design studios and seminars on housing and architectural representation. Previous roles include co-coordination of the GSAPP Housing Lab at Columbia, with focus on housing and climate change, and lecturing positions at Cornell University and Rice University, among others. Daisy Ames holds Bachelor's Degrees from Brown University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
