Abner Laporte

Abner Laporte is a seasoned Sr. Tooling Engineer at CooperVision, where they have been instrumental in organizing working schedules, controlling tooling and materials, and improving CNC programming since 2013. Prior to this role, Abner held various engineering positions, including a Manufacturing Engineer at Hamilton Sundstrand and a Sr. Engineering Specialist at Medtronic Spine & Biologics. Abner's career also includes experience as a Facilities Engineer at both UNIVERSIDAD INTERAMERICANA DE PUERTO RICO and Dr. Jose N Gandara Hospital. Abner earned a Master’s degree in Engineering Management with a focus on Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico.
