Garry Forfar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of energy and automation. Garry started their career at Schneider Electric as an LV switchgear Fitter/wireman before progressing to the role of Contracts Engineer, where they successfully managed the manufacture of LV switchboards and package substations. Later, Garry became a Sales Engineer, focusing on specification sales for MV/LV switchgear and metering & monitoring systems. Garry engaged with consultants, electrical contractors, distributors, and end-users to ensure the specification and procurement of Schneider's product portfolio.

Garry then joined ABB as an Area Sales Manager, where they were responsible for power quality solutions sales. Their primary focus was on PFC and harmonic filters ranging from 415V to 132kV. Garry successfully built relationships with large OEMs, end-users, contractors, and DNOs in Scotland, the North East of England, and Ireland.

Currently, Garry works at COPA-DATA as the Energy & Infrastructure Sales Manager. In this role, they provide substation automation systems and energy management software sales. Garry offers HMI, SCADA, and IIoT software solutions to industrial end-users, DNOs/TSOs, and OEMs. Garry's knowledge and expertise contribute to the achievement of COPA-DATA UK Energy division's targets, making them the top choice for substation automation software. Garry is responsible for setting and implementing the overall strategy and manages the sales team. Additionally, Garry directly oversees key account customers.

Garry Forfar attended City of Wolverhampton College from 2008 to 2010. Garry pursued a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, earning an HNC. Prior to their enrollment in college, Garry attended Portobello High School, however, information regarding their degree or field of study during this period is unavailable.
