Komathi Stem is the current director at CoPeace. Prior to this, they were the founder and CEO of monARC Bionetworks, Inc. from August 2016 to December 2019. At monARC, Komathi led a company focused on accelerating discovery by democratizing research. The company's multi-discipline team of drug development and digital technology experts created a comprehensive end-to-end clinical research platform that enabled earlier and broader collaboration between patients, providers, and researchers to exponentially accelerate drug development.
Under Komathi's leadership, monARC's integrated research platform and approach exponentially accelerated clinical trial cycle times by transforming a highly sequential and siloed drug development model into an integrated and collaborative model between patients, providers, and researchers without sacrificing the principles of evidence based medicine. In addition, monARC's approach created a new pathway for adaptive and pragmatic trials that are necessary to realize the full promise of Precision Medicine that will personalize healthcare and improve outcomes.
Komathi Stem has a MA in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from St. Olaf College.
