Matt Oettinger

Matt Oettinger, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Matt is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at CopilotIQ since July 2023. Prior to this, they held various roles at UNC School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine including Adjunct Instructor, Family Physician, Visiting Assistant Professor, and Resident Physician from 2010 to 2015. Matt also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Samaritan Health Center in 2021. Matt worked at Centene Corporation as the Vice President, Population Health, WellCare of North Carolina from 2021 to 2023. Matt was previously the Senior Medical Director at Grand Rounds Health from 2019 to 2021. Before that, they held multiple positions at Alignment Healthcare including Senior Medical Director, Clinical Operations; Medical Director, Clinical Quality; Associate Regional Medical Officer; and Extensivist Physician from 2015 to 2019.

Matt Oettinger, MD, MBA, received their Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University in 2006. Matt then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completing their studies in 2010. In 2015, they attended the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Strategy & Leadership. Matt Oettinger holds several additional certifications, including being a Licensed Physician from the North Carolina Medical Board and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians (ABFM). Matt has also obtained certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from UNC Health Care, and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
