Robert Powell

Robert Powell has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. From 1997 to 1999, they worked as an Application Developer at Netstra. Robert then worked as an Application Developer at eXcell, a division of CompuCom Systems, from 1999 to 2000. After that, they worked as an Application Developer at Curtis Consulting Group (CCG) from 2000 to 2002. Robert then returned to eXcell, a division of CompuCom Systems, from 2002 to 2006, where they provided Project Consulting Services to multiple clients. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Program Manager at P2 Solutions Group. Robert then worked as a Project Manager at Apollo Data Technologies from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2019, they worked as a Program/Project Manager at various companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia, F5 Networks, and Neal Analytics. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Wunderman Thompson Commerce, where they lead the porting of an on-prem data ingestion and processing system to Google Cloud Platform. Robert then worked as a Senior Project Manager at Coppei, where they lead the delivery of an Azure-based data warehouse and visualization solution built using Synapse, Data Lake, GitHub, & Power BI, and created the framework for the organization’s data governance program.

Robert Powell obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical & Environmental focus) from Bucknell University between 1986 and 1990. Robert also obtained a Certificate in C Programming from the University of Washington between 1998 and 1999. Additionally, Robert Powell holds a Green Belt Certification (GB) from Motorola Solutions obtained in March 2009, a Certificate in C Programming from the University of Washington obtained in January 1999, a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute obtained in October 2014, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute obtained in June 2009.
