Kevin McLaughlin has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Kevin began their career as a Financial Services Advisor at TD Waterhouse Investor Securities, Inc. in 1998. After that, they served as a Prosecuting Attorney at the State Attorney's Office and later worked as a Litigation Associate at Lewis Brisbois, specializing in Corporate Law Mergers & Acquisitions.

In 2006, Kevin joined the U.S. Army JAG Corps as a Captain Judge Advocate Attorney, where they served until 2009. Kevin then transitioned to Cape Fox Shared Services, a Cape Fox Company, as the Managing Director and General Counsel. Their expertise in the legal field continued as they joined Microsoft as a Federal Services Govcon from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Kevin took on the role of VP/Executive/GC at Buchanan & Edwards, Inc. before joining Copper River Shared Services in 2015. At Copper River Shared Services, they held the positions of Chief Legal Officer and later Chief Executive Officer, starting from 2015 and still ongoing. In 2006, Kevin attended The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, where they obtained a 171st JAGOBC degree with a focus on Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, and Contracts Management. Later that year, they also attended The United States Army Officer Candidate School Alumni Association. In 2008, Kevin McLaughlin completed a program in Government Procurement Contracts at Defense Acquisition University.
