Alex Widner

Alex Widner has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alex first worked at EZCORP from 2014 to 2016 as an Inventory Specialist/IT, responsible for organizing warehouse inventory, determining sale prices, and troubleshooting technical issues. In 2017, they joined Microsoft as a Test Associate, where they tested daily builds from game developers and wrote bug reports. From 2018 to 2019, Alex worked as a Freelance Web Developer for the Oregon Fair Trade Campaign, building a react web application related to the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Alex then attended Thinkful as a full-time student in 2018, gaining expertise in JavaScript libraries, databases, and data structures. In 2018, they also became a Lead Developer at PLUS QA, where they worked until 2022. Currently, Alex is working at Copper as a Software Engineer and was promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer in June 2023.

Alex Widner completed an Engineering Immersion Program, Full Stack Developer (Javascript) at Thinkful in 2018. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science from Western Iowa Tech Community College from 2008 to 2010.
