Luis Amestica

Luis Amestica is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in chemical engineering and biotechnology. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at COPPTECH since June 2018, Luis has spearheaded the development of antimicrobial food packaging and has multiple patents related to treatments for mastitis and wound care for both humans and animals. With a strong academic background, including over a decade as a professor at Universidad de Chile, Luis has taught various subjects related to chemical and biochemical reactor design. Prior roles include General Manager and founder of Copper Andino, where Luis patented biocidal polymer technology, and positions at notable companies such as Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company. Luis holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
