Michael O'Farrell

Michael O'Farrell has extensive work experience in software testing. Michael started their career at Pramerica Systems Ireland in 2005, where they served as a Senior Systems Tester until 2020. In 2020, they joined Cora Systems as a Software Test Engineer and quickly advanced to the role of Senior Software Test Engineer. Michael continues to work in this position at Cora Systems.

Michael O'Farrell pursued their undergraduate education from 1997 to 2001 at the Technology University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus. Michael obtained a B.Sc in Computer & Software Engineering during this period. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained the ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in April 2009. Later, in June 2011, they acquired the ISTQB Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing from the same institution. Michael expanded their knowledge in management and delivery by obtaining the Agile Project and Delivery Management certification from ICAgile in November 2019. Michael further enhanced their agile skills by becoming an ICAgile Certified Professional in January 2018. Michael continued to pursue professional development by obtaining the SAFe 4 Practitioner Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in October 2019. In the future, they have plans to acquire additional certifications, such as the Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst (CTAL) from iSQI UK & Ireland in November 2022, the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in January 2023, and the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in May 2023.
