Lead DevOps Engineer at Cordial

Daniel Schaaff has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Daniel began their career as a Support Specialist 2 at Mercury Insurance, where they were quickly promoted from Support Specialist 1. Following this, they worked as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. In 2013, they became a Network Administrator at Choose Chicago. From 2014-2017, they worked at KnuEdge as an Information Technology Manager. During this time, they were responsible for managing the DevOps and IT Operations Team, and completed a variety of tasks such as migrating from a single Windows Small Business Server to a distributed, multi-site Active Directory architecture, migrating Exchange server off Windows Small Business Server to load balanced, and highly available Exchange cluster, and implementing SAML based single sign on with OneLogin and G Suite. In 2017, they worked at Gimbal as a Senior Development Operations Engineer. From 2017-2019, they worked at Verve as a Lead System Operations Engineer and Senior System Operations Engineer. Currently, they are a Lead DevOps Engineer and Senior DevOps Engineer at Cordial.

Daniel Schaaff obtained a Bachelor degree in Network and Communications Management from DeVry University between 2008 and 2012. Daniel has also obtained various certifications, including Puppet Professional 2016 from Puppet in October 2016, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching from Cisco in June 2014.
