Kara S. has a long and diverse work experience. Kara began their career in 2010 as a Marketing Consultant for VAL-U-ADS of Colorado Inc., where they developed and qualified leads, cultivated personal rapport with clients and professionally resolved customer disputes. In 2010, they also began working as a CRLA Certified Tutor for Metropolitan State College of Denver, where they tutored remedial and college level English, assisted and tutored students needing assistance with PC and Mac operating systems, and performed administration duties. In 2011, they began working as a Press & Public Relations Manager for Comic Book Classroom and an Email Marketing Coordinator for Appliance Factory Outlet, where they designed, created and delivered email promotions twice weekly to a growing list of over 75,000 subscribers. Kara also maintained and segmented the database to target specific markets and ensure CAN-SPAM compliance. In 2012, they began working as a New Media Specialist for ReYrD. In 2013, they began working as an Email Marketing Manager for eLumina Communications. In 2014, they began working as a Technical Email Manager for Yesmail. In 2021, they began working as a Sr. Email Marketing Manager for Giving Assistant. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Technical Account Manager for Cordial.

Kara S. attended Fairview High School prior to enrolling at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2004 to pursue a degree in Animation and Illustration. In 2006, they transferred to Metropolitan State University of Denver, where they earned a BA in Communication and Digital Art in 2010. In the same year, Kara S. obtained a CRLA Tutor certification from the College Reading and Learning Association.
