Michael Fechner

Michael Fechner is an experienced geologist with a diverse background in the mining and resources sector. Career highlights include roles at Renison Goldfields Consolidated and Iluka from 1997 to 2006, progressing from Geologist to Senior Geologist. Michael has served as Manager Exploration and Geology at Iluka Resources, overseeing global exploration, development, and geology efforts, and held various managerial positions focused on project generation and strategic development. Currently, Michael is the GM Exploration at Core Lithium, following a tenure at idoba leading digital mining products. Additionally, Michael has directed Sunnyhurst Services, providing consultancy in mining and technology, and has gained board-level insights through the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Michael holds a BSc(Hons) in Geology from The University of Melbourne and completed programs in ethical leadership at the Cranlana Centre.
