Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith brings over 25 years of extensive experience in project management and estimating within the construction industry, particularly focusing on DOT and municipal jobs. As President at Jan R. Smith Construction Company from 2002 to January 2015, Stephen led project management initiatives throughout the Greater Atlanta area and Northeast Alabama. Prior experience as Vice President at the same company involved managing estimates and projects in North Georgia and Northeast Alabama from 1996 to 2001. Following this, a tenure as Project Manager/Estimator for Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Water at Vertical Earth lasted from November 2015 to May 2023. Stephen is currently serving as Senior Estimator at Core & Main since October 2023. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Oregon and attendance at Appalachian State University.
