Ahmed Assem has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ahmed started their career as an Embedded Software Engineer at IBM in 2009 and subsequently worked as an iOS Developer and Senior iOS Developer. Ahmed then transitioned to the role of a Software Development Team Lead and later became a Mobile Applications Architect at IBM. After their tenure at IBM, Ahmed worked as the Director of Software Development at AMIT Software, where they provided technical leadership and guided team development efforts. Ahmed then co-founded and served as the Managing Director at FunNations. Ahmed later joined Proxym Group as a Service Delivery Manager, where they were responsible for delivering projects and managing stakeholder expectations. Currently, they are working at Core42 as an Engineering Manager, where they lead a team of software engineers and focuses on project planning, software design and development, and improving efficiency through automation and new tools. Overall, Ahmed has a strong background in software engineering and management roles.

Ahmed Assem received their General Secondary Certificate from Dr Ahmed Zewail Experimental Language Secondary School between the years 2000 and 2003. Ahmed then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Systems and Biomedical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, Egypt from 2003 to 2008. In addition, they obtained the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google Cloud Platform Certified in July 2020.
