Timothy "Ed" Lowery

Timothy "Ed" Lowery has a vast and diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Timothy "Ed" is currently working at Core4ce as a Sr. Cybersecurity Architect, where they have developed processes and capabilities for a startup security operations center. Timothy "Ed" also worked at Arnold & Associates Inc as a Cybersecurity Senior Associate, The Ascendancy Group as a Sensitive Activity Integrator, and Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command as the Director of Cybersecurity Operations. Prior to that, they held positions at Naval Special Warfare Development Group as the Senior Manager of EW/Cyber Capabilities, UNITED STATES AFRICA COMMAND as the Senior Manager of ISR Strategy & Assessments, Naval Special Warfare as the SIGINT/IO Dept Head, US Navy as the Cyber Operations Planner for U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Oracle as a Principal Consultant. Their roles involved overseeing cybersecurity operations, managing signal intelligence operations, conducting special operations and cyber operations, and providing development support for Oracle systems.

From 1995 to 1998, they attended the University of West Florida, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems.

From 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering at Auburn University.

In 2013 and 2014, they attended the Naval Postgraduate School, where they obtained a Cyber Security Fundamentals Certificate in the field of Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.

In addition, Ed Lowery has obtained several certifications. In May 2015, they obtained the GIAC Advisory Board certification from GIAC. In the same year, they also obtained the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) certification. In October 2016, they obtained the GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) certification. Timothy "Ed" continued to add to their certifications in the subsequent years, obtaining the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in October 2017 and the GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON) in March 2019.
