Scott Welch

Scott Welch has a long history of work experience. In 1982, they began as a Co-Op Student at NTT Systems Inc. The following year, they were a Co-Op Student at Gulf Canada, where they developed a thermobaric information application. In 1984, they joined Nortel Networks as a Member of Scientific Staff, where they built the disk driver and low-level filesystem tools. In 1989, Welch, along with Steve and Jon, left Nortel to start SoftArc Inc. where they served as CEO until 1999. During this time, SoftArc grew from 3 to over 100 employees, with revenue of over $15 million and profit margins of over 50%. In 1999, SoftArc merged with MC Squared Learning Systems to form Centrinity Inc., where Welch was the Chief Evangelist and played a key role in Investor Relations. In 2002, Welch became Product Manager, Collaboration Solutions at Open Text. Since 2010, Welch has been a Founder and VP Sales & Marketing at Edsby and a Founder at Core Four Inc.

Scott Welch attended the University of Winnipeg Collegiate from 1979 to 1981, where they obtained their high school degree. Scott then attended the University of Waterloo from 1981 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Computer Science.
