Matt Wald has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Matt began their career as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Jerry Kleczka in 1991. Matt then worked as a Senior Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Barbara Rose Collins, managing Public Works and Transportation Committee work.
In 1994, Wald became the Director of Government Relations for the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, where they initiated and supervised self-regulation efforts and directed legislative activities on telecommunications, utility deregulation, and tax issues.
Matt then served as the Director of Government and Industry Relations for the American Subcontractors Association, overseeing legislative activities and coordination for a 6,000-member trade association.
Wald joined the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association in 2001 as the Director of Federal and State Programs, where they managed product division committees and built relationships with industry and governmental entities.
In 2003, they became the Director of Government Affairs for the RV Industry Association (RVIA), leading federal and state legislative and regulatory initiatives. During their time at RVIA, they successfully responded to regulatory issues and implemented innovative programs to benefit the industry.
From 2012 to 2019, Wald held multiple roles at RVIA, including Executive Director of Park Model RVs, Assistant Vice President of Business Systems and Innovation, and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. In these positions, they focused on industry integration, rebranding, and process modernization.
In 2019, Wald worked as a Consultant for EQM Management Advisory Group, providing strategic advice. Matt then joined Around the World LLC in 2018 as the Chief Strategy Officer. Currently, they serve as the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at CoreIntegrator, LLC, where they are responsible for establishing and achieving business development goals and implementing innovative marketing strategies.
Matt Wald attended Virginia Tech from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.
