Keith Jones, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity and computer forensics. Keith is currently working as a Podcast Host, Researcher, and Producer at eCrimeBytes. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Security Researcher at Corelight, Inc, where they focused on developing Zeek/Bro algorithms for network security research. Keith also worked as a Threat Researcher and Big Data Software Engineer at Blackberry Cylance, where they developed tools and systems for automated malware analysis. Before that, they served as a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer at Fidelis Cybersecurity, where they worked on incident response, cybersecurity solutions, computer forensics, and malware analysis. Keith Jones, Ph.D., has a strong educational background in the fields of cyber/electronic operations and warfare, electrical engineering, and computer engineering. Keith obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Dakota State University Graduate School in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering and two Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and one in Computer Engineering, from Michigan State University between 1993 and 1999. Keith also completed their high school education at Haslett High School in 1993. In addition to their academic achievements, Keith holds various certifications, including being a Payment Card Industry (PCI) Forensic Investigator (PFI) and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), a Licensed Private Investigator, a Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Keith also holds a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
