John Yun Qiao has had extensive work experience in the field of signal processing and biomedical research. John Yun is currently employed at CoreMap as a Signal Processing Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Abbott as a Senior Scientist in Applied Research, where their responsibilities included developing algorithms for arrhythmia detection and cardiac pacing management for implantable devices. John Yun also supported multiple clinical trials and was involved in data analysis and publication of findings. Before joining Abbott, John worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, where they conducted animal testing and evaluated the performance of biodegradable pacemakers. Additionally, they gained experience as a Research Intern at Microsoft, where they analyzed biomedical data and conducted human user studies to evaluate a biosensing technique.

John Yun Qiao completed their education in the field of Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. John Yun obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. John Yun then pursued further education at Washington University in St. Louis, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree from 2012 to 2015. Finally, they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, studying from 2012 to 2017.
