Yao Li has a diverse work experience, starting with a current role as a Software Engineer at CoreMap since 2022. Prior to that, Yao Li worked at Corindus Vascular Robotics, starting as a Project Engineer from 2015 to 2017. Then, Yao Li moved on to become a Robotic System and Software Engineer from 2017 to 2018, followed by a Software Engineer II role from 2018 to 2019. Finally, Yao Li served as a Senior Software Engineer from 2019 to 2021 at Corindus Vascular Robotics. Before joining Corindus Vascular Robotics, Yao Li was a student at Northeastern University from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Yao Li also had an R&D Internship at Corindus Vascular Robotics.

Yao Li has a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, which was obtained from Northeastern University from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Yao Li completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in EE at Binghamton University from 2011 to 2012.

In addition to the formal education, Yao Li has also obtained several additional certifications. These include the "Embedded Coder for Production Code Generation" certification from MathWorks, achieved in September 2020. Yao Li also holds a certification in "Simulation-Based Testing with Simulink" from MathWorks, obtained in December 2019. Another certification earned by Yao Li is in "Stateflow for Logic Driven System Modeling" from MathWorks, acquired in September 2019. Furthermore, Yao Li has completed the "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1" certification offered by Coursera in March 2013.
