Michael Powell has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Michael began their career in 2006 as a Computer Support Administrator at Robins Air Force Base. In 2008, they transitioned to Mercer University, where they served as a Systems Manager for seven years. In 2015, they joined Corero Network Security as a Security Services Engineer, and later progressed to the role of Senior Security Services Engineer. Currently, Michael holds the position of Sales Engineer at Corero Network Security. Additionally, in 2016, they became an Advisory Board Member at GIAC.
Michael Powell received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Science and Technology from Mercer University, where they attended from 2004 to 2008. Later, they pursued higher education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Mercer University, attending from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael has obtained certifications such as PMC-V from Pragmatic Marketing in February 2017 and GPEN from GIAC in March 2015.
