Patrick Monaghan

Patrick Monaghan has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Patrick is currently a Software Engineer Project Lead at Corero Network Security, where they started in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Corero Network Security from July 2022 to March 2023. Before joining Corero Network Security, Patrick was a Squad Lead Software Engineer at ScottishPower from October 2020 to July 2022. Patrick also worked at Encompass Corporation, holding multiple roles including Software Engineering Lead/Squad Lead from March 2019 to October 2020, Senior Software Engineer from October 2018 to March 2019, and Software Engineer from October 2017 to October 2018. Patrick gained valuable experience as a Graduate Software Engineer at BT from September 2015 to September 2017, where they worked on several projects involving data visualization and gained skills in UI design, machine learning, and database management. Patrick also mentored and coached a Software Engineering apprentice during this time. Earlier in their career, Patrick served as a Training Officer for Digital Inclusion at CACE Older People Active Lives from September 2014 to September 2015. As a Software Development Intern at HSL Mobile from September 2013 to August 2014, Patrick worked on the software development life cycle and was responsible for designing and implementing a new Customer Support Site. Additionally, Patrick gained experience as a Website Design and Development Intern at CACE from January 2012 to June 2012, where they independently created a website to raise awareness of the CACE charity and provide information to service users, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Patrick Monaghan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering at the University of Strathclyde from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 1 certification from the Hanban Confucius Institute in March 2023.
