Perumal Balakrishnan

Perumal Balakrishnan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the technology industry. Perumal is currently working as the Vice President of Product Delivery at CoreStack, a multi-cloud governance platform. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring continuous compliance assurance and operations automation at scale.

Prior to their current position, Balakrishnan worked at WeP Solutions Limited from 2013 to 2019. In their first role as the Technology Head, they built the WeP Digital Technology & Domain team and led them in delivering various digital products for taxation and workflow management solutions. Perumal also oversaw risk management for security policy implementation and information security governance.

At WeP Solutions Limited, Balakrishnan later took on the role of Head of Operations & R&D. In this capacity, they spearheaded design, development, and manufacturing operations for printer and retail business units. Perumal established and reviewed department goals aligned with productivity metrics, new product development, cost control, and customer satisfaction. Perumal also focused on sustaining current products through engineering improvements and statutory compliance.

Before joining WeP Solutions Limited, Balakrishnan worked at WeP Peripherals Limited, where they held multiple roles. Perumal served as the Head of R&D and Engineering, leading the design and development team for retail billing machines and other printer platforms. Perumal also led the Printhead R&D/Quality group, achieving self-reliance in printhead design and development.

Balakrishnan began their career as a Senior Design Engineer/Design Engineer at WeP Peripherals Limited/WIPRO Peripherals Limited. During this time, they designed and developed various impact printer product families and led discussions for an alternative printhead program.

Overall, Balakrishnan has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, product delivery, and operations management throughout their career.

Perumal Balakrishnan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they have obtained certifications in "Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions" from Microsoft in September 2018 and "Project Management Professional PMP" from the Project Management Institute in August 2011.
