Robin Johnson

Robin Johnson has extensive work experience in various technology roles. They currently work at CoreWeave as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Storage), starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they held roles at Gentoo Linux, where they served as a Developer, Infrastructure Lead, Foundation Treasurer, and Foundation Trustee at different times. They also worked as a Council Member for the Gentoo Council in 2006-2007.

Robin Johnson worked at DigitalOcean as a Senior Engineer II (Storage Edge) from March 2021 to February 2023, and as a Senior Engineer (Spaces) from June 2018 to March 2021. At DreamHost, they served as a Ceph RADOSGW Developer & Sysadmin from August 2015 to May 2018.

In addition, Robin Johnson worked at BC Libraries Cooperative as a Senior System Administrator & Architect from January 2012 to July 2015, and as a Systems Consultant from March 2011 to December 2011. They served as a Lead Developer at IsoHunt Web Technologies from January 2006 to October 2013.

Robin Johnson's earlier experience includes working as a Consultant for MySQL & Gentoo at Global Netoptex, Inc. from 2006 to 2010, and as IT Everything for NetConex Business Solutions from August 2005 to January 2006. They also served as a Research Assistant (Research Lab System Administrator) at Simon Fraser University - Surrey from January 2003 to July 2005, and as a Research Lab SysAdmin at Technical University of British Columbia (TechBC) from September 2001 to January 2003.

Robin Johnson started their education at Durban High School from 1996 to 1998. They then attended Burnaby North from 1999 to 2001. After that, Robin pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at TechBC from 2001 to 2005. Concurrently, they also studied at Simon Fraser University from 2002 to 2005, specializing in Information Technology with a focus on TechBC.
